Recently I have been doing a series of webinars on Tea Trends. I like to do webinars because you get questions and feedback from students all over the globe and you can see which trends are really "happening" and where.
This weekend after a seminar I had two "trends" jump off the page in real life. I whipped out my camera and took a couple photos so I could share them with you.
HOT TREND #1
This is the "FOODIE" decade. People are more interested in knowing which foods go with what and are willing to "splurge" on small amounts of marvelous mouthfuls.
Tea fits into this trend because a buying market that is interested in higher quality, is open to learning about the benefits of loose leaf tea. They are even excited about becoming a tea snob.
Want proof? When Burger King starts "pairing" its soda pop with "burgers" you know there is something happening with the food and beverage trend!
Hot Trend #2
"Cocooning" Are you tired of all the stress in the outside world? Costs are high and fear is on the rampage so why not settle down into your own safe nest! This trend (which is bigger now than in the last few years) is called Cocooning.
Christmas 2010 proved that cocooning was hot. New TV and home entertainment centers were bought at record pace. Why? Because as a nation we are staying home!
Tea and cocooning are a perfect mix. Begin selling and serving IN the home and teach your customers how to do the same and you are on your way to building an outstanding tea business perfect for 2011.
Here's an example from the grocery shelves! Recently while shopping at Walmart I saw Eddy's newest creation. Home smoothie and milk shake kits. Just peel the top, add milk and blend. Now we can get all the great taste of "Eating Out" but stay at home!
Exciting times for those of us who enjoy cocooning.
In the next few weeks I will be posting more examples of trends and the tea business. Please help me spread the word by adding your comments. (what do you think the latest tea trends are in your area?) and by posting this on facebook, twitter, etc.
P.S. My new FREE VIDEO reveals how to use these trends!

We can believe we are being self-reliant and independent, and yet there is still clearly an overarching destiny, a Great Maker.
