There are two seasons in “dreaming” that are difficult. The first is the action. Taking action, actually doing something about your dream is the number one thing that keeps people from moving forward in life. Sure, we have a tea dream but do we believe in ourselves enough to make it happen?
Are we taking simple forward movements like: taking a tea business class, becoming a home tea consultant, enrolling in a catering or restaurant management class, learning to cup tea or hiring a trainer to help us get started?
I can already hear your response, “Well, that takes money...” No doubt it does, but then doesn't everything that is worth something have a cost? Somehow we find time and money for our cars, our jewelry, our clothes, our fattening groceries yet we don't invest in our dreams? WHY?
Your tea dream could change your life. It could take you from where you are now to where you want to be. Of course, in order for anything to change your life you have got to take action.
So stop right here and if you do not have a tea business... ask yourself.... “What action can I take to move forward with my tea dream?” Got it? Now, GO DO IT. It's not enough to think about it. You HAVE to leap of the cliff, you just have to. No looking back just take a flying leap into the great unknown and find your future waiting for you.
What if you fail?
Henry Ford said it best, “Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, this time more intelligently.”
What if you waste money?
Are you telling me you have never wasted money on a latte, a pair of too tight shoes or Tupperware that you didn't need? If you are investing in yourself it will never be a waste. You are worth it.
The second season in a dream if holding on when things get rough. Getting started can be tough, but hanging in there when your dream suddenly looks impossible, improbable or an utter failure is tougher yet.
Just as love has seasons, so do dreams. Dreams take commitment. My dream is to change the world one tea business at a time and there are days where I feel like giving up. Dreams have UP SEASONS and DOWN SEASONS. Summer and Winter. Yet, without winter how would we prepare for new growth that is sure to come?
My point? If your dream is in winter don't give up. Stand firm with your dream. See it before you. Trust that HE who gave you the dream is able to complete it for you. No, it's not easy but it's worth it. Being true to the desire of your heart will always bring long term blessing.
Focus on what IS working. Focus on what IS exciting. Remember what your passion TRULY is and not just what it USED to be.
Dream on... dream long... dream BIG. You can do it. Your dream is worth it.
